Minnesota’s finest golf course, Rush Creek, is only a 20-minute drive! In 1996, W. Duncan MacMillan established Rush Creek as a private club for a public golf course. He wanted to make sure that golf was an accessible sport for everyone, therefore he built an intimate club atmosphere for a public golf course using renowned architects John Fought and Bob Cupp. The layout of the course and original clubhouse was designed by him, and his fantasy became reality. Soon after golfers started playing, it became pretty evident that a clubhouse expansion was needed. In 2000, our MacMillan Ballroom and Banquet Center were opened. South-west exposure gives breathtaking views of the golf course and wetlands. You will experience the “Wow!” factor.
Rush Creek Golf Club is located 20 miles from downtown Minneapolis and is Minnesota’s leading golf course. Bob Cupp & John Fought designed our 18-hole championship course, which opened in June 1996, as a par-72 layout. Rush Creek has hosted a number of national events, including three LPGA Tour competitions, the 2004 US Amateur Public Links Championship, and Forbes contributor Larry Olmsted naming it the “best public golf course in the city.” In addition, GOLF named it “best public courses that GOLF staffers played for the first time in 2019,” citing GOLF.com.
