There are many reasons to visit the North Commons Water Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Located at 1701 Golden Valley Rd, Minneapolis, MN 55411, this 25-acre park offers more than a dozen fun activities for families. Several attractions are located within the park, including three-story speed slides, a big playground, and a free wading pool. It is also part of a larger update to the park with free admission.

Visitors to the park can take in the city’s art scene by viewing the Walker Art Center’s collection of modern art. It features works by American and European artists. Nearby, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is the largest urban sculpture park in the world. Here, you can see the sculptures Spoonbridge and Cherry, as well as the beautiful Irene Hixon Whitney Bridge. Recent travelers loved the modern art at the Walker Art Center, but this artistic environment may not be ideal for young children.

If you’re looking for a place to go on a family vacation, the state capital of Minnesota is a great destination. It’s just 30 minutes south of Minneapolis and contains nearly 5,000 animals. Its Imax theater is great for movies and family activities. You can also view the wildlife, including wolverines, coyotes, and an American black bear. In the summertime, head to the Discovery Bay aquarium and United Healthcare Marine Education Center to view a 218,000-gallon shark reef exhibit.

The Minnesota State Fair had over two million attendees in 2018 and is an annual event. From August 22 to September 2, the fair includes music in the Grandstand, delicious fair food, and animal exhibits. If you love concerts, the Basilica Block Party in the city has its biggest outdoor concert lineup in recent years. It features Kamila, Chris Stapleton, and Jason Mraz. If you’re looking for something fun to do, the Minnesota State Fair is definitely for you!

The sculpture garden is also a top attraction. The garden features state-of-the-art sculptures, which make for some awesome family photos. The Crown Fountain, which is a 50-foot-tall face that spits water out of its mouth, is another must-see in the park. This Minneapolis attraction is just one mile southwest of downtown, and it’s a great place to get a dose of fresh air.

For food lovers, there are several eateries in the area. Nicollet Avenue has plenty of restaurants and cafes. If you’re visiting Minneapolis for the first time, be sure to check out the famous Moose Mountain. If you’re looking for a nightclub, you might want to check out the infamous First Avenue. You can also catch live music at First Avenue nightclub.
